SureCare Scunthorpe is a franchise of SureCare Community Services Limited owned and operated by Scunthorpe Care Ltd.

At SureCare Scunthorpe, we aim to provide care, assistance and support in ways that have positive outcomes for all of our clients, whilst promoting and encouraging their active participation. We regularly review the services we provide to ensure that we are successfully meeting the needs of our service users and achieving their aims and objectives. We also encourage feedback from our clients, their relatives, friends and representatives.

Our person-centred approach to care allows us to provide tailor-made care and support packages that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our clients, whilst incorporating individual needs, wishes and preferences. In order to meet our clients’ individual needs, we at SureCare Scunthorpe ensure that a full care needs assessment is completed by our experienced staff and a detailed plan of care is agreed. We also seek to ensure that our clients’ needs are thoroughly re-assessed as often as required, so that the care and support provided has the flexibility to respond to any change of needs. Through our services, we strive to assist our clients in maintaining their dignity and independence at home, as well as encouraging participation within our local community wherever possible.

SureCare Scunthorpe has rigorous recruitment and in-house training procedures, allowing us to consistently provide high quality amongst our team of care professionals. All of our staff are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance, and are regularly monitored and supported in their role. Full extensive training is provided, with career progression and personal development actively encouraged throughout. Through this, we strive to ensure that our services are delivered to the high and professional standard you’d come to expect from a nationally recognised care provider.

Our Leadership Team

SureCare Scunthorpe is led by mother and daughter Zafreen Kouser and Hanaa Hussain.

About Zafreen and Hanaa

Zafreen has over 25 years of experience in the care sector, having previously worked in care homes as both a Senior Carer and a Relief Manager, as well as spending five years working within the NHS. She has devoted her career to supporting others and she is determined to utilise her extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to build a strong foundation for SureCare Scunthorpe.

Zafreen is our Nominated Individual, and is supported in the business by her daughter Hanaa, who is currently working and studying in the Cardiac field. Hanaa’s medical training and growing expertise is sure to be a strong asset for SureCare Scunthorpe. They lead the way for our care team, both in essential care practices and in understanding the complex care needs of those we support.

Operating SureCare Scunthorpe together, both Zafreen and Hanaa are proud to provide bespoke, compassionate care services in the local community, with a keen focus on consistently high quality. As a family-led business, it is their personal mission for SureCare Scunthorpe to make a meaningful positive impact in the lives of those we support.

Zafreen says: “Our vision is to become the most trusted and valued home care provider in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas. We aim to be known for our personal touch, local expertise, and commitment to enhancing the lives of our clients.” By enhancing people’s lives with dignity, compassion, respect and trust, Zafreen and Hanaa strive to support our clients’ independence with our family values and professional standards at heart.

Registered Manager

Richard Horton

Before joining SureCare Scunthorpe, Richard has worked in various roles across the healthcare sector, supporting many individuals with challenging and complex needs in the private sector and with the NHS in the community. Prior to his healthcare career, he has also run successful businesses and developed his skills in logistics, business development, and managing a strong team. Alongside his impressive career background, Richard’s qualifications reflect his experience in care and management, including:

  • BSc Degree in Psychology (First Class)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Management

As Registered Manager, his goal is for SureCare Scunthorpe to be known across the region for its exceptionally high quality of care. Richard is passionate about building an outstanding team culture, so that our service is professional and is recognised for being engaging, supportive, and positive. Looking ahead, he hopes to further develop SureCare Scunthorpe to be an eminent integrated support service for the community of Scunthorpe and the wider area.
