Role and Responsibilities

Our care workers will provide a range of care services for people in their own homes, such as:

  • Provide personal care to service users, including assistance with washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce loneliness and promote mental wellbeing
  • Support with meal preparation and nutrition, including cooking, serving meals, and encouraging healthy eating
  • Assist with light domestic tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Prompt service users to take medication, or assist with administering medication in line with care plans and training
  • Accompany service users on shopping trips, errands, or leisure activities to promote independence
  • Provide transport to appointments (medical, social, or otherwise) as required
  • Monitor and report on service users’ health and wellbeing, ensuring any changes are communicated to the care team or family
  • Encourage and support service users in achieving personal goals and maintaining independence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the wider SureCare team to deliver person-centred care

Requirements:

  • A caring, compassionate, and respectful attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check (paid for) and satisfactory references
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable for community-based roles)
  • Previous care experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided

Responsibilities:
